Sandor Bortnyik made "Green Donkey," we're not sure when, but the surface is so smooth it might as well be a dream. It's a cool scene, all blues and greens and geometrical shapes. There’s something about the way everything's so flat and still that gets to me. Like look at the colour of the wall on the right hand side, that peachy colour, it just sits there on the surface, and makes me think of Giorgio de Chirico, or maybe René Magritte. It’s an unreal space, but with a very real texture, like polished stone. It seems very strange, like a stage set, and the light from the moon is giving everything a slightly different cast. The green donkey itself is just so odd, you know? Perched up there, a bit of a non-sequitur. But maybe that's the point. Art doesn't have to make sense, it just has to make you feel something.
