Editor: This is an untitled print by Harold Cohen, made with ink on paper. It's just a yellow blob-like shape. I'm curious about its simplicity. What am I missing here? Curator: Well, consider Cohen's broader engagement with artificial intelligence. Isn't this simplified form, perhaps, about challenging notions of artistic authorship? Editor: Challenging authorship? Curator: Yes. How might a computer "draw" a flower? Or, how does a deconstruction of form relate to the human condition, filtered through the lens of technology? Does this flatten identity? Editor: I hadn't considered that at all. So, it is less about the image itself, and more about the questions it raises? Curator: Precisely. Editor: That really changes how I see it. Thanks! Curator: My pleasure. It's a conversation starter.
