Keith Haring made this painting, "Piglet Goes Shopping," with what looks like marker on canvas. It's got that signature bold outline, like a comic, but twisted with his own language of symbols. What hits me is the color. Haring's not shy, right? That electric blue Piglet, almost vibrating against the salmon pink and, of course, the green dollars. It's like a kids' drawing, but super charged. Look at how he fills the space. Every inch is alive with marks, a fever dream of lines and shapes. Each one feels urgent, immediate. You get the sense of the hand, the body moving. There's something frantic in the intensity. It's not just looking, it's feeling the energy of the city, the pulse of a generation. It reminds me of Dubuffet, who was also into this kind of raw, unadulterated mark making. It makes you realize that art is really just an ongoing conversation about what it means to be alive, to make a mark.
