This is a photo by Delizy, showing a waterfall and viaduct at Salins. What gets me about this image is how Delizy handles texture; it's not just about smooth surfaces but also the rough and overgrown terrain. It’s all in the dirt and shrubbery. There’s a lot to unpack. I mean, look at the way the light catches on the individual leaves and pebbles! It’s almost as if Delizy is trying to capture every single detail, every little nook and cranny of the landscape. This is like when I get lost in the details of a painting, obsessing over every stroke and dab of color. Delizy is playing with how we see nature and how we build on it. Think about Romantic landscape painting, but with a 19th-century twist. It reminds me a bit of Gustave Courbet, who also wasn’t afraid to get down and dirty with the earth. Art’s all about finding new ways to see the world, isn’t it?
