David Michael Hinnebusch made "Time Pop" without specifying when, using paint on a 56 by 71 cm surface. Looking at this, I’m struck by the artist's joyful, no-nonsense approach. It's like watching someone think through painting. Hinnebusch isn’t afraid to leave the scaffolding up; those black lines aren't hidden. Instead, they’re part of the conversation. The painting's surface is alive. The colors, applied with varying degrees of opacity, create depth and movement. Take the figure in the center.
