Editor: This is Bernard Cohen's "No. 3," currently at the Tate. The composition is so simple, just a few colored circles. What do you see in this piece? Curator: I see an echo of early cosmological diagrams. The circles, almost like planets or suns, resonate with ancient symbolic depictions of the universe and time. Do these floating orbs evoke any particular associations for you? Editor: I hadn't considered that, but now that you mention it, it does feel like a map of something celestial. Thanks, that was fascinating! Curator: Indeed. The enduring appeal of simple forms, their ability to carry layers of meaning, is something to treasure.
