This 1784 medal, created by Dutch engraver Reinier Vinkeles, depicts the Dutch East India Company (VOC). The medal features two sides: one with a profile portrait of a woman representing the VOC, crowned and adorned with pearls, holding a scepter and a key. The other side features a laurel wreath surrounding an inscription in Latin, which translates to "To the illustrious man, a supporter of the king, the most valiant, who defends the seas, the colonies, and serves the state". The artwork is currently housed in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
