The lower figures exhibit robust modelling, in contrast to the more ethereal rendering of the Holy Trinity at the composition’s apex. Do you perceive how this variance serves to articulate a hierarchy of being? Editor: I see it, like the density of the forms increases as your eye moves downwards, as well as the lines being darker. Are there any shapes in this engraving you want to point out? Curator: The recurring ovoid forms—the figures' heads, the globe beneath the Trinity, the clouds themselves—establish a visual rhythm, a subtle echoing that unifies the diverse elements. And consider the deliberate asymmetry of the arrangement; observe the distribution of light and shadow. It eschews classical ideals of balance. What effect does that asymmetry achieve, would you say?
