The "Miracle of St. Theodor Tyron" is an Orthodox icon from the 17th century housed at the Russian Museum in Saint Petersburg. It depicts a popular hagiographic story of Saint Theodor Tyron, a Roman soldier who refused to worship pagan gods and was tortured and killed by the emperor. The icon portrays the saint defeating the devil who attempts to torment him with fiery dragons and other monsters. In the background, a procession of saints and martyrs led by the emperor Constantine the Great is shown, highlighting the importance of religious devotion in Byzantine culture.
