Eddy de Smet made this picture of 'Dikkie looking from behind a stone wall' with ink and paint. It feels very handmade, you know? The colors are simple, like something from an old comic book, and the lines are thick and confident, which makes the whole thing pop. The wall, with its blues and browns, looks like it's been slapped on with quick brush strokes. I love the way you can see the process, the artist's hand, right there on the surface. Look at how the boy peeks out, his eyes telling a story of curiosity. It reminds me a little of Hergé, the guy who created Tintin, with that same clear line and simple shapes. It’s like they're both part of this ongoing conversation about how we see the world, one line, one color, one story at a time. And who knows what Dikkie's thinking? Art's not about answers, right? It's about the questions.
