Editor: This untitled piece by León Ferrari consists of what looks like clippings from newspapers, mounted on paper. There are some handwritten annotations as well. The layout feels chaotic, almost like a collage of anxieties. What do you make of it? Curator: It's fascinating how Ferrari repurposes the printed matter. He’s transforming the material of daily news, the very stuff of political discourse, into an artwork. What was the circulation of these newspapers, and how would that affect the reception of this work? Editor: That's a great question. I don't know about their circulation. Curator: Considering the date annotations, these clippings could be seen as a record of specific historical moments or social conditions. Perhaps Ferrari is commenting on the media's role in shaping public opinion, or the ephemerality of news itself? The means of production are also the subject. Editor: I see. So, it's not just about the news itself, but the whole system of information and its impact. Thank you.
