The Clearing 

Danny Galieote created this painting, "The Clearing", to open up the thorny path to the garden of our minds. The young woman stands before us framed by an archway of roses: these flowers have long been symbols of love, beauty, and sometimes, secrecy. Here, the roses create a gateway, a passage to something perhaps hidden or deeply personal. Her raised hand, a gesture of greeting or caution, reminds me of classical figures bestowing blessings or warnings.
