How does the presence of the sloth resonate with you? Its traditionally symbolic role? Editor: Well, sloths aren't exactly known for speed, are they? Usually symbolizing laziness and such. Curator: Exactly, however, Brike may be inviting us to reconsider that association. The act of holding the animal embodies care and tenderness towards something that may need protection. Look closely—doesn’t the sloth's gentle expression reflect that sentiment back at the girl? Consider the path she stands upon, blanketed by flowers - is she embarking upon a transformative path? What stories could it tell? Editor: It could signify new beginnings or maybe a path filled with beauty and gentleness, given the floral motif. Curator: Indeed.
