The textures clash wonderfully. Curator: The turbulent sea can also be said to reflect the turbulence of the politics in that era. Editor: Can we not appreciate it more as a dynamic play between abstraction and representation? Look at how the red abstract form at the top contrasts with the mimetic rendering of the waves.
