Editor: Here we have Joseph Severn's "The Infant of the Apocalypse Saved from the Dragon," housed at the Tate. It feels dreamlike, almost a swirling vision. What strikes you most about this piece? Curator: The upward movement, almost a Baroque-like drama, contrasted with the stillness of John the Evangelist below. It's as if Severn is asking us: is this a memory, a premonition, or a spiritual truth unfolding before our very eyes? Editor: That's beautiful! I hadn't considered the element of spiritual truth. Curator: Perhaps Severn, a man of deep faith, intended it that way. It whispers of hope amidst chaos, doesn't it? Editor: It certainly does. Thanks!
