This "Tumbler" was created by Hobbs, Brockunier and Company between 1882 and 1887. The glass, on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, features a distinctive two-toned, ombre effect, transitioning from a deep red to a light yellow. The glass is also textured with raised, rounded bumps that add a tactile element to the piece. The glass tumbler is an excellent example of the American glassmaking techniques of the late 19th century.
