Hiroyuki Tajima made this print called 'Yellow Print' and I'm really vibing with it. The ochre color is so rich and earthy, like some kind of funky landscape. I'm imagining the artist working layer after layer to get that dense color. Each shape almost looks like a world or little universe, and each mark feels so intentional. I can almost feel the artist's hand moving across the surface. I'm reminded of other printmakers, like, maybe, Anni Albers, who pushed the boundaries of their medium. Tajima's piece is just another example of how artists are constantly riffing off of each other, learning from the past, and making something new. It's an ongoing conversation and a testament to the boundless possibilities of human creativity.
