Storm by J. L. L. C. Zentner

Editor: This is "Storm" by J. L. L. C. Zentner. It's a print, and the swirling lines give it such a dramatic, almost theatrical feel. What do you see in this piece that I might be missing? Curator: Well, it certainly captures that sense of nature’s raw power, doesn’t it? The artist uses line to create a sense of movement, of wind buffeting the trees and figures. I feel a sort of sublime terror, don’t you? A beautiful dance with chaos. Editor: Absolutely! It's like the people in the print are at the mercy of the storm. What do you think the artist was trying to convey through that? Curator: Maybe a reflection on our own vulnerability in the face of the unknown. We are all characters in a play that is sometimes bigger than us. Editor: That's a really interesting way to look at it. It's definitely given me a new appreciation for the print.
