Alfred Stieglitz made this photograph of 'Brancusi Exhibition at 291'. What was it like to be there, in 1914, in that room? Stieglitz captures not just the sculptures themselves, but the whole atmosphere. He was a true believer in the power of art and its ability to change how we see the world. I imagine Stieglitz moving around the space, carefully choosing his angle. Think of the way light falls on the sculptures, how the shadows create this almost dreamlike quality. It's like he's trying to capture the essence of Brancusi's work. I mean, photography at the time was really developing as an art form, right? I think it's pretty interesting that Stieglitz who was a gallery owner and a photographer, was so captivated by Brancusi and his sculptures. Artists are always in conversation with one another, pushing boundaries. And I think that dialogue is essential to the evolution of art.
