To me, it's about capturing fleeting moments, a cloudscape maybe, with a focus less on perfect representation and more on the feeling of light and atmosphere. Do you see how the hatching creates depth? Editor: Yes, I see it. So it's not about being precise, but about capturing an impression? Curator: Exactly! Cozens was very interested in using blots to suggest landscape forms. It is almost musical, don't you think? Editor: That makes sense. I see it differently now. Curator: That's the beauty of art.
