Paperweight c. 1848 - 1855

This 19th-century "Paperweight" from the Baccarat Glassworks is a stunning example of French glassmaking. Made of clear glass with a swirling green glass inclusion, it features red glass accents that evoke a snake or other reptile within the glass. This intricate work is a reminder of the artistry and technical skill required to create these intricate decorative objects.
