This Yuping Xiao, a Chinese bamboo flute, is a fine example of traditional craftsmanship. Made by the artist Zhishan Zheng between 1885 and 1895, the flute's surface is decorated with blue inscriptions and features a blue cord. It is currently housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The Yuping Xiao is a cherished instrument in Chinese music, and its elegant form and sound continue to enchant audiences today.
