This small, carved marble sculpture of a standing ram dates to around 3000 BCE. Its simple, stylized form, with drilled eyes and holes for legs, represents a significant example of ancient art from the Near East. Though the creator remains anonymous, the "Standing Ram" offers insight into early artistic practices and the importance of animal imagery in ancient cultures. The sculpture is now part of the Minneapolis Institute of Art's collection.
