Here is the audio guide text for the artwork: Hundertwasser made this, 816 Switch Board, with mixed media, and I just love the way he let the process be so visible. The lines aren't perfect; they wiggle and wobble, almost like they're breathing. Looking at the colors, there’s this electric combination of reds, blues, and yellows, all bumping up against each other. The texture feels almost like a topographical map, with layers and layers of paint creating depth, like he built up the painting over time. There’s this one little red squiggle near the center that seems to be pulling everything in. It’s as if Hundertwasser is inviting us to get lost in the details. Hundertwasser’s work always reminds me a bit of Gustav Klimt, with their shared love of ornamentation and vibrant colors. But Hundertwasser has this raw, almost untamed quality that makes his work so unique. It’s a reminder that art doesn’t always need to be polished; sometimes, the messiness is where the magic happens.
