Editor: Here we have Antony Donaldson’s "Take Five" from the Tate Collection. It's quite striking, almost like a fragmented billboard. What do you make of its playful yet disjointed composition? Curator: It's definitely a visual cocktail! I think Donaldson is exploring how we consume images, particularly of the female form. The way he abstracts and repeats these figures, it's like a pop song stuck in your head. Don't you feel a kind of…rhythm? Editor: I get that! A rhythm of shapes and colours, echoed in the jazzy title. Curator: Exactly! And maybe, just maybe, he's nudging us to question our gaze. What do we really *see* when we look? Editor: It's made me think about how much is missed when focusing on a small part. Curator: Me too.
