Armstoel Kops-ameublement c. 1793 - 1795

This armchair, made sometime between 1793 and 1795, is an example of a French Neoclassical design. The chair's simple, elegant lines are characteristic of the style, which emphasized the use of classical motifs. The delicate carving and the upholstery with its floral pattern and depictions of putti give the chair a sense of lightness and grace.
