Editor: We're looking at "Christ and the Woman Taken in Adultery," an engraving by Diana Scultori. The scene feels so tense, almost claustrophobic with all those figures. What do you make of it? Curator: It’s a fascinating piece, isn’t it? I’m struck by Scultori’s delicate touch in portraying such a dramatic biblical scene. Do you notice how she uses the swirling columns and garlands to frame the central figures, Christ and the accused woman? It’s as if she’s inviting us to pause and consider the weight of judgment versus the possibility of grace. Editor: That’s a beautiful way to put it. I hadn’t thought about the framing devices in that way. Curator: Art often speaks in whispers, wouldn't you agree? Editor: Absolutely. I’ll definitely look at engravings differently now.
