This 18th century candlestick, produced in The Hague, is a fine example of Dutch porcelain. The delicate design features a leaf-shaped base with a scalloped edge, and is decorated with colorful painted wildflowers. This piece is part of a larger set of candlesticks designed in the rococo style, popular during the mid-18th century, and reflects the craftsmanship and artistry of the Porseleinfabriek Den Haag. The piece currently resides in the Rijksmuseum, providing a glimpse into Dutch decorative arts during the late 1700s.
