This engraving, "Red ons uit de greep van het kwaad / Aanbidding van de Drieëenheid" (Deliver Us from Evil/Adoration of the Trinity), by Hieronymus Wierix, was created between 1569 and 1573. It depicts a dual scene, the top panel illustrating a city being protected by angels from the forces of evil, while the bottom panel portrays a group of people worshipping the Holy Trinity seated on a globe surrounded by angels. The engraving exemplifies Wierix's skill in depicting complex scenes with intricate detail, a characteristic of his art. The work is a fine example of 16th-century Northern Renaissance art, showcasing the artist's talent for capturing the drama and emotion of religious themes. It's currently housed at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
