"Record of the Commemorative Tablet by Imperial Manufacture of the Great Buddha Temple of Longxing at Zhengding" is a rectangular, wooden box with an intricately carved, dark brown cover and a cream-colored, layered bottom. Created by the artist Dong Gao (1740-1818) during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), this decorative box is an example of Qing-dynasty woodcarving and demonstrates the skill of the artist. The box, now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, is a testament to the artistic craftsmanship and cultural heritage of the Qing Dynasty.
