"Duif voor een spiegel" (Dove Before a Mirror) is an etching by Dutch artist Noach van der (II) Meer, created between 1777 and 1778. The artwork depicts a man standing in a room, holding a dove. The dove is positioned in front of a mirror, while a chair and a table stand to the right. The image, part of a series of prints titled "Chloris," showcases van der Meer's skill in depicting intricate details and creating a sense of depth within the scene. It is currently housed in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. This etching is an excellent example of van der Meer's work during the Dutch Golden Age, a period known for its artistic advancements.
