This is a 16th-century bronze coin from the Netherlands, featuring a profile portrait of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, on one side and a coat of arms with the initials of the Dutch Chamber of Accounts on the reverse. This small and historically significant piece, with a diameter of 2.8 cm, is housed in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. These coins, often known as jetons, served as counting tokens and were used for bookkeeping.
