The card depicts Baltimore Orioles captain, "Cap" Purcell, in a characteristic pose, catching a ball in mid-air. This card, and others in the Old Judge series, are a prime example of "baseball cards" that were used to market Old Judge Cigarettes. The cards are printed on thin card stock, measure 2 11/16 x 1 3/8 in, and are often found in collectors' sets.
