This bronze medal, "Inwijding van het Akademiegebouw te Groningen 1850," was created by David van der Kellen in 1850. It commemorates the inauguration of the Academy building in Groningen, Netherlands, and features a detailed engraving of the building on one side. The reverse side displays a laurel wreath surrounding an inscription in Latin celebrating the event and referencing the date of the inauguration, September 7th, 1850.
