Editor: Here we have an untitled print by John Piper. The colors feel quite bold and the composition a little unsettling. How do you interpret this work? Curator: It feels to me like a clash between something solid and something fleeting – the dolmen itself is a stark reminder of permanence, yet the surrounding branches suggest the ever-changing dance of nature. It’s a dialogue, don't you think? Editor: Yes, it is, and the colors almost seem to fight each other! What do you make of that? Curator: Perhaps Piper is showing us that beauty can exist even in discord, a bit like life itself, chaotic, yet somehow harmonious. It speaks to me of resilience. Editor: That's given me a whole new perspective! Thanks!
