Editor: This is Alexander Cozens' "Mountainous Landscape with Trees, the Sun in an Aureole." I’m struck by how dreamlike it feels, almost like a memory fading at the edges. What do you make of it? Curator: It’s a whisper of a landscape, isn't it? Cozens was fascinated by the "blot" technique – tossing ink onto paper and then teasing out forms from the randomness. It's like finding constellations in the night sky, a dance between chance and intention. Do you sense that feeling? Editor: Absolutely! It’s like he’s inviting us to co-create the landscape with him. Curator: Precisely! He's handing us the key to our own imaginative realm, painted with sunrise musings and mountain sighs. What a gift!
