Editor: Here we have Joe Tilson’s "Ziggurat 7". The interplay between the red and blue is quite striking, but why are there so many circles? How do you see this piece? Curator: The systematic arrangement of colour and form is key. Note how the simple geometric shapes combine to create a complex spatial relationship. The dots enhance the flatness, defying any true sense of depth. Editor: So, it's more about the arrangement than the representation? Curator: Precisely. It's an exploration of visual language itself. Consider the relationship between the positive and negative spaces. Does the composition evoke any particular feeling in you? Editor: It feels almost like an architectural study that only exists in the mind. I guess I was expecting symbolism, but it's more about the structure. Curator: Indeed. Its strength lies in its formal construction, not in any external narrative.
