Editor: This untitled work by Sol LeWitt, from the Tate collection, uses simple lines to create four distinct quadrants. It's so minimalist! What's your take on this piece? Curator: LeWitt challenged traditional art hierarchies. His conceptual approach democratized art-making; the idea was paramount. How do you think this emphasis on concept, rather than skill, impacted the public's perception of art institutions? Editor: That's fascinating! It makes me think about how galleries decide what is "worthy" of display. I never considered how the concept plays a part. Curator: Exactly! LeWitt’s work opened doors to question the established norms and consider art's socio-political role. Editor: I see that now! This has changed how I view minimalist art.
