"Toy Table" is a small, hand-crafted table dating from the early 19th century. It features a simple, rectangular design with a hinged top that folds down for compact storage. The table’s four turned legs are finished with rounded knobs, a common detail of furniture from this era. This table is an example of early American furniture and would have been a common sight in homes of the time. The table is currently housed at The Art Institute of Chicago and stands at a diminutive 17.7 × 30.5 × 26 cm (7 × 12 × 10 1/4 in.).
