This marble bust, sculpted by Baron François Joseph Bosio, depicts Jérôme Bonaparte, younger brother of Napoleon. The bust was carved between 1810 and 1813, a time when Jérôme held a position of power as King of Westphalia, making it a powerful portrait that depicts his authority and presence. The realistic depiction of Jérôme's features and the smooth, polished surface of the marble further enhance the sense of grandeur, characteristic of Neoclassical style. The bust is currently housed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
