"Kind en engel bij zonsverduistering" is an engraving by Boëtius Adamsz. Bolswert, dating between 1590 and 1624. The artwork depicts a young child being protected by an angel from the light of a solar eclipse. The scene likely alludes to the Book of Job, referencing the idea of hiding from God's wrath, which is suggested by the inscription, "Cur faciem tuam abfcondis et arbitraris me inimicum tuum? Job. 13. 7," meaning "Why dost thou hide thy face, and count me thine enemy? Job 13. 7." This engraving is a prime example of the Dutch Baroque style, with its dramatic use of light and shadow. It is currently located at the Rijksmuseum.
