Carel Adolph Lion Cachet’s "Studie blad, onder andere met een balancerende figuur op een koord" (Study sheet, among other things with a balancing figure on a rope) is a graphite drawing on paper created around 1890. The artwork is housed in the Rijksmuseum and depicts a series of abstract shapes and lines, perhaps inspired by the act of balancing on a rope. The loose, gestural lines convey a sense of movement and energy, suggesting a fleeting moment of action. This study demonstrates Cachet’s exploration of form and line during his career.
