Editor: Here we have Sir Eduardo Paolozzi’s "Jeux d’Eau." It looks like a delicate, almost architectural drawing. The lines are so precise! What's your take on this work? Curator: The lithographic process here is key. Paolozzi's interest was always in the reproduction and manipulation of images, foregrounding the means of production. How does the mechanical reproduction alter our perception of the "original" image, the artist's hand? Editor: So, it's less about the image itself and more about the way it was made? Curator: Precisely. Consider the social context too; the accessibility of printed images and their consumption by the masses. It questions the unique aura of the artwork. Interesting, isn’t it? Editor: Absolutely! I never thought about it that way before. Thanks!
