This "Ale Glass" is a clear glass goblet made by the New England Glass Company sometime between 1830 and 1870. The glass is made in a simple, elegant style with a tall, cylindrical body and a flared base. The piece has been cut with a geometric pattern of lines and facets. It is now on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
