"Twee ganzen tussen riet" (Two Geese Among Reeds) is a woodblock print created in 1892 by the Japanese artist Imao Keinen (1845-1924). The work depicts two geese in a detailed and delicate manner, perched among reeds, their feathers rendered with subtle variations of grey and white. Keinen's skillful use of line and shading creates a sense of depth and movement, giving the geese a lifelike presence. The print is currently housed in the Rijksmuseum. This artwork is an example of "yōga", a style of Western-influenced art that emerged in Japan during the Meiji period.
