This 18th-century silver coffeepot, crafted by Denys Frankson between 1766 and 1767, showcases the elegance of Rococo design. The rounded, bulbous form and delicate, scrolling details on the lid and handle are characteristic of the period, reflecting a shift towards asymmetry and ornamentation. The black ebony handle adds a contrasting element, highlighting the silver's lustrous surface. Currently housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the "Coffeepot" is a fine example of 18th-century silver craftsmanship.
