"Vier foto's van Istanboel en omgeving" is a collection of four photographs taken by Dutch artist Carolina Frederika Onnen between 1926 and 1929 during a trip to Istanbul, Turkey. The black and white photographs capture scenes of daily life in the city, including a group of people gathered at a "vaertuig club," a cart being pulled by oxen, and a rural landscape with cypress trees. Onnen was a prolific photographer and these photographs are examples of her keen eye for capturing everyday moments and the beauty of the world around her.
