Lucien Pissarro created "View over the Estuary, Harfleur" with oil on canvas. It’s all about these tiny, busy marks, like he’s knitting the world together, stitch by stitch. Looking closely, you can see how the greens and grays aren’t flat, but alive with touches of lavender and ochre. It’s like he’s aerating the paint, letting light and air in. I’m really drawn to the way the road curves into the lower left, almost disappearing into the landscape. It's a simple mark, but it gives the whole scene a sense of depth and direction, drawing you in. Pissarro reminds me of Morisot in his quiet, intimate way of seeing. Both artists show that art is really about looking, feeling, and finding your own way to describe what you see. There is no right or wrong answer, only different perspectives.
