"Little Minch" is a chromolithograph from the "The World's Racers" series, part of a set of collectible trading cards issued by Allen & Ginter in 1888 to promote their cigarettes. The image depicts a chestnut racehorse with a jockey, a popular subject in 19th century art reflecting the excitement surrounding horse racing. The card, now in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, is a prime example of the use of chromolithography, a printing technique that used multiple lithographic stones and inks to create vivid colors, in late 19th century commercial art.
