Editor: Here we have "Moses" by Ludolph Büsinck, a rather striking print, really. I find the figure quite imposing. How do you interpret this work? Curator: It’s fascinating, isn't it? The horns of light, the tablets—it’s all about power, divine authority, but also a deep connection to the earth. See how he’s seated? Almost like part of the landscape. Büsinck is showing us a Moses who's both lawgiver and earth spirit. What do you make of the staff? Editor: I hadn't considered the earth spirit aspect. I guess I thought of it more as a symbol of leadership. I see it now! Curator: And that's the beauty of art, isn't it? Always more to discover. Editor: Definitely, this gave me a lot to think about.
